Pennsylvania Woodlands Mushroom Barley Soup uses a shiitake mushroom, barley, and vegetable blend to make the base for a classic soup. Add a handful of fresh mushrooms and sherry, if desired. A quick, rustic meal ready to enjoy in only 30 minutes.

Ingredients : Barley, Shiitake Mushroom, Onion, Carrot, Bell Pepper, Parsley, Nutmeg, Mustard and Thyme

Nutrition: No added salt or artificial anything, May contain wheat

Serves: 6

Can be prepared as vegetarian or vegan

Remember these are soup-starter mixes, you can’t go wrong!  Feel free to omit any of our recommended additions and/or add any of your favorites!

  • To reduce sodium: use a low-sodium broth, bone broth, or stock.
  • For cream-based soups: use lower-fat dairy, almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk, oat milk, or preferred dairy replacement.
  • For added protein: add a can of your favorite bean (black, chickpea, navy, etc), chicken breast, or other plant-based protein option.
