Organic Maca White Mocha Ghee

Golden, delicious ghee made with four ingredients: organic butter from grass-fed cows, roasted cocoa shells from Dick Taylor Chocolate, organic gelatinized Maca root and real Tahitian vanilla beans.

We do not use any flavorings or extracts in our Maca White Mocha Ghee, instead choosing to use real vanilla beans to give this ghee a rich, malty "milk chocolate" flavor. AMAZING addition to coffee! Makes a wonderful spread on pancakes, crepes, muffins, scones, sweet breads and pastries. This is definitely one of those flavors that gets eaten by the spoon in our house.

Simply put, ghee is clarified butter! Ghee Well takes organic butter from local, pasture-raised cows (along with many other fresh & flavorful ingredients made/grown in Humboldt County) and simmer it over low heat to brown the solids, which are then removed. What remains is a pure butterfat with  a rich, caramel-like flavor - without the lacose, casein or moisture still present in butter!

So, how do you use it? Since the lactose & casein have been filtered out, ghee has a high smoke point (450F) and can be used in instances where butter would normally burn.

Ghee is shelf stable and does not require refrigeration! Just use a clean, dry utensilto prevent cross-contamination, store out of direct sunlight and use within a few months of opening for best flavor.
